Greece has been the scene of more historically relevant events than many other places on the planet. Everything about Greece holds a reputation for being world-famous, from art, food, and culture to cities, villages, and architecture. This international location means you will need extra passport pages in order to visit, but you will soon see that a trip to Greece promises so much more than any other kind of vacation.

While in Greece, you will inevitably encounter some of the architecture that has made this country famous. The stories of Greek mythology have been told for generations, and by visiting some of the monuments to this mythology, you can take yourself back to a time where Zeus and Poseidon ruled the land and sea. One of these sites is the Acropolis. This huge temple was erected as a sacred place for Athena. Standing on the highest hill in Athens, it overlooks the entire city. Adorning its walls and columns are sculptures and deep-relief metopes. This site offers so much history, that it's no wonder why it's one of the most popular destinations in Greece.

For some time now, Athens has been the wealthiest city in Greece. Named for its patron goddess Athena, this city has so much to see. With a whole section of the city roped off for those wishing to experience the historical sites, you will be able to see first-hand beautifully carved Neo-Classical sculptures and architecture. Of course you can't visit Athens without sampling some famous Greek food, and what better place to sample than Greece itself? With beautiful art and architecture available on every street corner, you could spend days just walking the streets of Athens.

Apart from its historical sites, Greek beaches are enough to attract visitors from all over the world. People from all around come to Greece to bask in the Mediterranean sun and play in the beautiful blue water. While the pictures of these beaches are enough to take your breath away, seeing them in real life for yourself is an entirely different experience. Many public beaches are available for people to visit, and if you are particularly proud of your bathing-suit body, you could even visit a nudist beach! The diversity of aquatic life and the number of places to explore under water make the beaches of Greece an adventure you definitely do not want to miss.

If you're preparing to travel to Greece, getting a passport should be the first item on your "to-do" list. Online passport businesses have made international travel less of a burden by providing quick and easy services to add passport pages, renew damaged passports, and obtain passport replacements.
